Public Buildings
Another of Laxcon's areas of specialist is that of temples, civic centres. Most
notable of all these is the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, North London's magnificent
Hindu Temple.
Dubbed by many the eighth wonder of the world, the temple is the first ever traditional
Hindu mandir of stone to be constructed in Europe and incorporates a community area,
sports hall, conference and marriage halls as well as office space.
Completed by Laxcon in just 18 months, this 2.35 acre development demanded extremely
effective significant management skills. We were responsible for sourcing and managing
more than 150 craftsman. As always, the project was completed on time and within
the budget.

"The Swaminarayan Hindu Mission is an inspirational piece of architecture and
was approached with great enthusiasm by the contractor Laxcon".
